why haven't you submitted this to the chrome store? asking users to install a browser extension from a third party store is not a good idea. chrome web store is not safe enough already.

Hi admin,
Currently the extention is under developement and it is not ready for public release. As you know, BSNL is not having simple & fixed way for tracking broadband usage for all of its users. There are different tarrif plans and different ways to check broadband usage. Our solution may not work on some other part of the country, that's why we need BETA testers.

We have fixed major issues in the extension, thanks to the testers across this country. We will be releasing the extension through Web Store within the end of this week.

Can't you just mark it as BETA and upload it to Chrome Store anyway? You'll get a much more audience if you do that. I really doubt folks will install a Chrome extension from outside Chrome Store. Just too risky these days.

and installing manually is too complicated for most users. at worse you might get a few negative reviews. but you would be able to push updates to all users without asking them to download a new file and install it manually again.

also i am pretty sure chrome web store has an option to hide the app from public searches. but still make it available for install. similar to a feature that android play store has.

Also pro in name sort of give the impression that the app is paid with a free version without pro 😛
