Did BSNL ban some adult sites?

Yes, most ISP's ban illegal/adult websites and its common.

And these bans are supposed to be on directions of government bodies like DoT. So the ban should be uniform across all internet service providers around the country. But it rarely is the case. A lot of ISPs maintain their own block lists.

in my ISP, the websites are not banned however they open fast but video processing is slow, i have 10mbps plan, even youtube is slow. dowloading is 10mbps though.

sadly, when it comes to video, a lot depends upon the kind of connectivity your isp has with the datacenters of the service providers.
a lot of small players are doing well in this market because they peer directly with popular services like youtube, netflix and Hotstar.
they save money. user gets better experience. everyone wins (except maybe net neutrality).
in the end... the technology is the culprit here. you may have a 100mbps connection but if your connectivity with video services is not optimized... your experience is going to be poor.
for example... when i was on reliance dsl... youtube worked great because google is great at peering with almost all isps. but twitter videos never loaded properly.

mine ISP is tripleplay, and Hotstar, primevideo, pornhub, youtube are all bad at streaming with my 10mbps connection. what option i have here? i don't think complaining will help, they won't change their infrastructure for just one customer?

Working fine in PPPoE/PPPoA mode but does not work in Bridge mode. Is there a tool quickly switch from bridge to pppoe?
