Connecting IPTV to Home theater system

I have got IPTV today. I was playing my TV through the Home theater system with the Audio out of TV into the TV in of HTS.But now I am not getting the IPTV sound through the HTS. The set top box AmiNET 125 does have an Audio output. But it is Digital audio with SP DIF digital plug. My HTS has an auxiliary input with two normal right, left inputs. Can the set top box be connected to HTS directly? Has anyone tried connecting IPTV to a home theater system?
 
The set top box was connected to the TV with a composite cable, one for Video and two for Audio. I unplugged the Audio connections from the TV and gave it to the Home theater Audio inputs.And Hey Presto! Problem solved.Thank you.
