i had suggest you go ahead with GoDaddy.com they are now the largest seller of domain names on the internet having overtaken Network Solutions. They are the best I have seen till now. Indian companies are very unprofessional and Net4India happens to be the worst. No they do not have any offices in india but you would not require to visit them coz their online system actually works. ;)

My Experiences with Net4India:

Each of these cases are true!

Somewhat related to this thread - What happens once you get a domain name? What steps do you have to take to get to the final product?

your webhost gives you values for nameservers. you put those values in the backend of the domain providers.

heh... Sushubh.. english, please!

What I want to know is basically what procedure do you have to follow to get your website "on air" so to speak, apart from making the website... when you get a domain (let's say hypothetically www.vebmetal.com) do you have to sign up with someone else to host the actual data of the website, or does that all come under the domain name thing? So, for example, if I bought www.vebmetal.com from godaddy.com would they offer me different packages in terms of the amount of data I want to put up and the amount of maximum data transfer I expect in a month, or do I go to someone else about that. (I, of course, don't plan on buying my own server or anything like that).
