here is a tweet from a lawyer not that it is going to help with a bank. but one thing is clear... if your bank is forcing you to submit aadhaar details, write to Banking Ombudsman.
 
I am getting several sms from HDFC to link Aadhar. But since my Aadhar is already linked to some other bank, so I am not linking with HDFC now. I am wondering if my Aadhar is linked to 2 bank accounts, in which account would Gas subsidy go 😕
 
Bit OT but when I opened FD account with IDFC bank (not savings a/c)

Stupid people created virtual savings account and linked my Aadhar to it.

I had seeded my Aadhar with my PNB bank account

But now Aadhar website shows IDFC bank as seeded bank

And I could not find anyway to switch it back to PNB bank

There shud be a way to change "seeded" bank. i.e. where subsidy will go.

The a/c which was linked to Aadhaar last......
 
^^^ So I better not provide Aadhar number to my other bank(s) 🙂

Aadhar No NO AADHAR CUSTOMER has been seeded to your acc no XXXXXXXXXXXxx

First got confused then thought oh!
 
I hope the "Preferred Customer" is aware that there is going to be a charge of Rs.100 per quarter on the account..
