I am using it right from the day it was released.
Its a best search tool for me. :D
Windows search is the slowest search.
Google desktop helped me find several files even as i know a unrelated keyword about the file.
Then, but, i dont know where all the cached pages are stored.
Does anyone know?

Tell me more about Copernic.
I heard about it.
But, haven't used it yet.
So, please include the links to get it also.

1. if you read the rules, i have a small suggestion for every new user:

do not quote posts which are latest in the thread[/b]

as for copernic desktop search, here is the link:
http://www.copernic.com/en/products/desktop-search/

as for others, i had like some comments on ESP and Filehand... if anyone have the courage of testing these. :)

google stores data on my machine here:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\local Settings\application Data\google\Google Desktop Search

Copernic is actually better. I have both . (Google and Copernic) but the copernic desk search @$$orts more types of file extensions and allows you to add extensions. Anyone knows how to search for mozilla thunderbird mails. i dont really know how to search in an mbox format ? Thats my main gripe about copernic. Google cannot earch pdf even. It is still too beta and seems to be very IE/OE savvy but surprisingly not very mozilla friendly despite being pro mozilla. Anyway it is till beta. How does one get a gmail address . I have filled the form n number of times but have not got any info.

TB stores mail in mbox format but with no extension. :p that makes life hard. works fine here in Opera M2 :D and with MSN Messenger XML chat logs. :)
