hi friends, I want to buy a usb power hub for charging my cell phone, tablet and led lamp, 3 to 4 usb ports would be enough for me, can anyone suggest a good and reliable usb hub which is safe to use for these devices? also wouldnt want something too expensive.

i have the one from quantum zero. i use it to power the pi's hard disk. works fine. but it's not the basic model. i think i have an older variant of this:

QuantumZERO QZ-HB05 USB 3.0 4-Port 12V 2.5A Powered Hub [VIA VL813 Chipset] [12V 2.5A Power Adapter included]: Amazon.in: Electronics

but you just need a multi-usb charger right? so get something like this...

QuantumZERO QZ-WC12 3-Port USB Wall Charger with SmartQ: Amazon.in: Electronics

But this one does not have full power in all three ports.

Powerful yet compact - portable - home, office or travel, just grab and go. Charges 3 devices simultaneously. Supports smartphones, tablets, MP3 players, other USB chargeable devices. 15.5W power, 3.1A to share among 3 ports, offers up to max 2.4A per port in the first two ports, third port offers 1A.

the 1A port would charge modern devices very slow. so keep that in mind.
nishant is here i think. he might have a better recommendation.

quantum zero has confirmed. iphone is not a smartphone!

based on comments... this one seems to be worse. one port 2a. rest of the two ports 1a each

what am i missing?
