Amazon working on setting up physical stores in India - The Economic Times

Amazon's internal code name for its India grocery ambitions: Project Everest.Last week, Amazon opened its fifth physical book store in Chicago, and it has five more announced locations under construction.It is possible that some of the store ideas will never see the light of day.

Right. Remember reading about how they are planning to spend 500 million dollars on groceries and stuff. A lot of online stores in India now have physical stores as well so I would not be surprised if Amazon stores become a common thing in coming years. There is a massive advantage to this strategy as these stores are great investments for any company that want to create long term wealth as property prices go up every year while your online business can lose steam within a few years.
