Ok. Here are the details provided by the guy.

Rs. 1000 installation.
Rs. 800 + tax on the basic plan.
Rs. 350 per month for static IP.
Rs. 1000 for Tenda Router.
I can get 20% discount if I prepay for 3 months.

Static IP pricing is a bit high. But I suppose, overall deal is better than Airtel. Except for the missing landline part.

gave a commitment to den boomband guys and then called airtel to disconnect. guy initially offered a 25% discount. eventually ended up offering 50% discount. agreed. for six months. would now have to call den in the morning to tell them that i would not be able to take a connection.

personally i am not happy. airtel is not playing a fair game. an uncle in neighbor is paying 3 times the money for a similar plan. trai should be doing something about this nonsense.

the reason i agreed to continue is that den is costing me a lot of money. 1000 rupees for installation. 920 for 5mbps 100GB plan (2mbps fup). and 350 per month for static ip. the guy told me that if i prepay, static ip would cost me 2500 per year and if i prepay for plan itself, he would be able to offering good prices for yearly recharges. now i am not going to prepay for an entire year for a company that could vanish in thin air any time.

2mbps after fup on 5mbps plan. 5mbps after fup on higher speed plans.

My friend paid for 2 month advance and got free router+modem with installation included.
However that static ip charge is rip off.
I guess I would wait for them to realize that they entered the marker at the wrong time lol.

1. Ask them to give you Docsis Router only (since you can use any Wireless Router yourself) or I think you going to use load balancer right? Rs. 1000 saved.

2. Ask them that you will stay with them for longer period. Throw some lines like I have airtel with this much GB, Excitel with this much etc etc. Show them that you are high-end user and they will drop or maybe give some discount on installation. I strictly told Excitel to not to give config/installtion charges and he was ready to install. (Although I didn't go further for now because they have 5-10 connections only in my area and their office is in slum area/little low quality area so I am little bit worried about the security).

I personally believe these plans are shit since 800 for 5 MBPS? Even Airtel is better. I would say, stay with Airtel + Excitel.

Yes, Docsis is used in USA and i have experienced it multiple times myself and those are solid. But they give 50 MBPS. But here in your case 5 MBPS doesn't make a sense for you even if it's Docsis or ADSL or VDSL or Ethernet.

I want to say one thing, I have seen Excitel guy's speedtest app, He has fuckin' 4 ms ping rate in our area. I have never ever seen such ping in our area.

Airtel ADSL: 30+

Airtel VDSL: 20+

Hathway: 15+

I do not like bargaining with people. Airtel is bad enough. Excitel has been good enough for core usage. I was looking at Den to replace Airtel. If they are going to charge what they are charging for installation and plans, good for them. I am not going to counter their plans and ask them to drop the prices by quoting plans of Excitel. They can see the brochures for themselves. If they think their prices are reasonable, good for them.

latest plans in sector 31 gurgaon.
