Paint.NET 3.10 by Rick Brewster - 1.66MB (Open Source)

Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run XP, Server 2003 or Vista. It started development at Washington State University as an undergraduate senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it. It is meant to be a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with all Windows operating systems.

Paint.NET has many of the powerful features that expensive commercial applications have, including the ability to use layers. We welcome any suggestions, and provide the source code for final releases under the MIT License.

Paint.Net requires the .NET Framework 2 in order to run.

i need a software in which i can draw lines with measurements...like to draw a 4" x 2 " rectangle...any idea???also if it can support degrees...like drawing an equilateral triangle...

is it not available in MS-Paint or Gimp?or may be MS-Word?

yes MS word can do that i think double click the pic and fill in the custom size

Note how I'm posting threads with generic download categories and not specific app names? This will help reduce clutter, people can post similar links under the same topic.

So to start of the 3D category, I'll mention Blender which is a free and open-source 3D content creation app.

See blender.org - Home

edit:
Adding Home - Art of Illusion an open source Java based 3D editing software.

Simple: Learn the small toolset quickly Fast: Model as fast as you think Powerful: Design anything from a shoebox to a skyscraper Flexible: Make your models loose/conceptual or tight/accurate Fun: Place your models in Google Earth
Google SketchUp - Download
