Uber and Ola drivers to go on strike from Friday

No cabs are available. And apparently if someone does pick up a rider, other drivers are forcing him to stop and pushing the passenger out. Cops are missing. Incredible.

There was a similar strike here in Hyderabad a few weeks back. They were demanding to completely cancel uberPOOL (as it is apparently inconvenient for them) and uberMOTO (was to be started from Jan 1st in Hyd). I still managed to get a ride or two safely. The rates were a bit high, the driver had to keep his phone hidden and if a single passenger he asked them to sit in the front seat, not back, so as to not appear like a driver. After a few days, the strike was over and everything went back to normal.
