UIDAI: Warning against printing of plastic Aadhaar cards

No privacy concerns?

Ofcourse there are privacy concerns, this is only for people who are desperate to reprint their plastic aadhaar card. I got mines printed from my dad's office

E-aadhar card is best option.

You can print it on A4 size paper and it is as valid as "plastic" card.

You can print unlimited times!

I have even saved PDF on mobile and show it to in case of emergency! (like bank or train TC)

If you still want plastic card - then I think any local "printing" shop would be faster and reliable.

I think it depends on TC to accept or not.

Because as per Government "printed" E-aadhar is valid proof and ON-PAR with plastic aadhar.

Government did not clarify if E-aadhar on phone is valid proof or not.

But it should be allowed. Because Aadhar, on phone or printed, both can be altered anyway.

So either accept both or reject both.

Seems nice since I keep losing stuff. I'd get 3-4 printed to keep at different locations.

Both websites have exact same wording in their faq to this question. Well almost.

The sites do not seem to have any kind of permission from Government to "collect and print" Aadhar card.

This may mean that they are doing illegal work?
