No of eligible E-mail Ids - 1

i Started Doenloading Exactly On 12:20Am....And Turned off at Perfectly At 7:45 Am
And Now My Balance Is As Follows


MB Used - 696
ADSL MB - 0
IP Address - 1
No of eligible E-mail Ids - 1

What The Hell Is That... Where Is My 166mb Balance..I Havent Used It In Day Time
What Do I Do About It ?

Hey Raj, Did u turn off the modem before 12 night and then turned it back ON after 12 or ur computer and modem were on before 12 and u started downloading at 12:20 without ending ur previous net session?Which of these conditions? Reply fast..... 🤔

yes... but the earlier forums on this same issue state that the clause of puttin it on n off
were there on the delhi site n not mum... n also sum post had stated that the bill was pretty normal

ok i got the answere.. i need to turn on & off modem (Router) after 12Am and befor 8am
I Get Fu#$@d Man...500mb in 5days...thanks mtnl

though raj i'm sure u downloaded those balance MB out of the time frame of 12-8 am...coz it happend lots of time with me...but whatever i download after 8 am only gets deducted...coz i easily download around 650 MB per night...and i still have around 300 MB left...and most of the 200 MB i lost by forgetting to stop my transfers after 8 am 😉

So guyz, its better tht we turn OFF the modem before 12 night and then turned it back ON after 12. And repeat the same procedure for 8 AM (turn it OFF before 8 AM and then turn it ON after 8).One thing more, its advisable tht we shud take the time as 12:15 AM to 7:45 AM instead of 12 AM to 8 AM..........GOD knows MTNL's server time..... 😀

the best way is 2 just pull out the tel wire out of the modem before 12am n reconnect after 12.15... u just have 2 register yrself in a session starting after 12am.

This above seems to be the best advice. Docmanya has given an easy and practical solution. I have tried to switch off the modem by another shortcut method .... pulling out the power plug and reinserting it for a fresh boot, but find that this may not be very healthy for the life of the modem. The usual method of shutting down the desktop and switching off the spike buster so that the router-modem is switched off is too cumbersome and painful.

This phone wire business seems safe and quick and I hope anyone with experience on this method will confirm it.

i doubt rebooting the router by pulling off the power supply would harm the routers 😛

I'd also like to know that can If i shedule a pc shutdown and my pc gets shutdown before 8am but my router is still connected, will i be charged. or do i have to necessarily turn off the router.someone pls reply

in my Experience u hv to turn off router not pc...befor 8am ....scary humm..

i dont know about starting the connection.i guess u have to stay up.if u want to disconnect try atomic clock program.u can ask it to shut down ur pc sat at 7.45 am.i dont think that keeping the router power on counts as a connection if the pc is turned off.that
