Paytm scan code

Does scanning QR code from Paytm requires internet connection.
I don't have good connection and I was scanning code in mother dairy, it failed to scan twice.
 
qr code scanning would not require internet connection. but... Paytm app would need internet to associate the qr code with the account it is connected to. so without internet, it would be largely pointless. you would need internet for the actual payment as well.

also... in my own experience... the app takes a while to scan the qr code. it is not as fast as i have seen in other cases. it takes 4-5 seconds for me too. and it's annoying because you need to scan every time. you cannot add it as a contact and make future payments without needing to scan like you do with your contacts.
 
I dont have good connection , vodafone 2G
yes completing the transaction needs internet
may be mother dairy codes have some issues
it just didnt detected for last 2 times, before that it was fine.
may be issue is my internet connection, will try with faster connection next time.
 
same here worked at first time before.

4-5 try this time then it worked. Best is to keep hand steady or hold with both the hands.

Not a internet problem using airtel 4g here.
 
Please scan without internet, only then it can be confirmed whether internet is required to complete scanning
