Budget Laptop for around Rs. 35000

It's for an uncle who does regular stuff. Preloaded Windows is pretty much the only major requirement. Good backup is probably the next major requirement. No games. No heavy apps.

Check HP 14-AM081TU it has i5 6200u and 1 TB hard drive for around 38k.

I don't think you will get 8GB ram with i5 below 40k. Adding 4GB ram will cost you around 1.5k.

that's the thing. i5 is not important here. i am sure i3 would work fine as well. ram and hard disks are the biggest bottleneck. now i cannot expect ssd in this price segment. ram is gettable. though you are right. manufacturers would not include 8GB RAM by default in this segment of the market. so there's that. getting it done aftermarket has its own issues. even if you get it done by HP as you would need to go to service center. was hoping to find something that comes ready to use out of the box 🙂

windows preloaded is important. otherwise, pirated windows would be installed which comes with its own share of headaches.
