Data Packs can have 1 year validity as per Indian TRAI

Telecom regulator Trai today permitted increase of validity for mobile data packs to 365 days, from the current up to 90 days, to boost usage by marginal consumers and also attract first-time Internet users.

Was this rule only for mobile connections having data pack? because I had Tata Photon Plus which I always recharged with 6 months/180 days pack.

I remember this being reduced,MTNL 3G had 6 months validity on its 3G pack and as people were exploiting this,TRAI reduced it to 90 days and eventually MTNL pack was withdrawn..
