Dish TV in talks to buy Videocon DTH for nearly $1 bn: Srcs

In what can be a big move, Dish TV is in talks to buy Videocon DTH, reports CNBC-TV18's Nisha Poddar quoting sources. The two companies are negotiating on valuations close to USD 1 billion. This is because Videocon's ask price is currently higher than what Dish TV has offered.
Even the lenders have suggested that sale of Videocon DTH to Dish TV is likely.

This may soon happen, as any market cannot have so many operators in TV Broadcasting service.

And if this does happen, we can say bye bye to (slightly) affordable packages.

Zee came into the market years before any other company which gave them a huge advantage. My brother is still using the Dish TV connection I purchased many many years ago before Airtel/Tata Sky arrived in the market.

Jumping to Tata Sky would be a good idea if you do not mind paying premium price. Has been bomb proof for me so far. Since late 2006.
