So I built a custom router using an AMD board, set up everything for perfect remote access. Worked great. For 3 days. And then this happened:

PRIVATE GODDAMN IP ADDRESSES. Anyone else?
 
Was only a matter of time before they implemented it in Hyderabad as well. Enjoy! /s
 
I got the static ip service. I really want ipv6, but for now i VPN into my vps, which gets a /64 for $5(~300) a month...
 
Did you pay for the static IP service?
I have read in the forums that the Static IP provided is Internal Private IP. not Public IP
 
What use would be a private static IP be?
 

Each gateway has been assigned a certain public IP. By giving you a static private IP it ensures you will have the same public IP too because you connect to the same gateway each time.
