EKART Courier shuts down consumer to consumer courier operations

They say Delhi NCR and Bangalore but Gurgaon is not yet supported. Also seem to be limited to few pincodes in Delhi and Bangalore.

We will call the recipient before delivery. Irrespective of the outcome of the call, we will try and deliver at the recipient location. In case we are unable to deliver, we will attempt to contact the recipient and the sender; and re-attempt delivery for a total of 5 times on 5 different days. If the item is still undeliverable, we will then return the item back to its pick-up location. At the pick-up location again we will attempt delivery 3 times. If it cannot be delivered even to the pick-up location, we will hold the item at the source hub for 7 calendar days. Post this the item will be discarded at EKART's discretion.

If they can manage this platform properly, it could become a big success for the company. Shipsy failed because they did not have the brand name attached to their platform.
 
Gurgaon pincode 122001 seems to be supported now! This is great.

lol. would be easy bucks. btw, i tried some pincodes of delhi too. nothing seems to work!
 
It does seem a bit slow and costly?

Delhi-Mumbai: 3 business days atleast for 200. FedEx is faster and costs the same, iirc. Of course, free packing material is a nice touch.

Shipsy was quite cheap in comparison. Rs. 50 up to 500gm around the country.

for a 1.5KG package in a small sized box provided by eKart... from gurgaon to mumbai... the costing is rs. 150 for six day delivery. 200 for 5 day delivery.

even if i select a simple envelop, the lowest cost is Rs. 150.

for gurgaon/delhi, the lowest cost is Rs. 100 for envelop with documents.
