Dataone and Linux

Hi to all, I am thinking of buying dataone 500 plan. I use linux as operating system and also am on LAN with other linux machines. What i want to know is that does the ADSL modem works fine with linux? How is it installed in linux? Also i only have one ethernet card as of now which is already engaged since i am in LAN. Will i need to buy another LAN card? I will be pleased if someone can throw some light on this issue.RegardsAbbas
