I've been trying to forward ports for minecraft on my router, but it's not working. The port is 25565. Anyway, I was able to forward ports when I was using the Sterlite SAM 300 AX modem. I was using MTNL back then, now I'm using Smartlink Broadband. The ports fail to open even when I'm doing everything as mentioned on the Portforward guides.
P.S. I also have a ping of 400ms to european servers. (used to have 140ms on MTNL) My friend is also using Smartlink and he's having the same ping. Could it be that our modem settings are screwed up and that's why we have high ping? Or is it the ISP? If it is the ISP, is there any way by which they can reduce the ping? Can ISPs also block port forwarding? Cuz I'm not sure whether my ISP is not allowing it or my router. Thanks guys.
