The Kerala cyber police on Sunday filed cases against a total of 111 people posting and sharing of allegedly defamatory remarks connected to the Suryanelli rape case, which were perceived as against Congress leader and Rajya Sabha deputy chairman PJ Kurien.
Acting on a complaint from Bindu Krishna, Kerala Mahila Congress chief, cops booked a case against the man who posted the allegedly defamatory comment along with charging 110 others for sharing it, while pointing out that the total number of people involved in "sharing" the post is more than 2,000. Cases have been registered under section 66 A of IT Act.
