agreed.... it's because the consumer is asleep. One of Airtel's marketing chaps came to my door to sell me their connection, and since I already had one, all he got was a grill session on Airtel not following TRAI's "256 kbps always on" definition... interestingly, he justified it by insisting that the definition is "upto 256 kbps" and that somehow contention ratios explains it all (and oh, that there was something inherent in the physical universe that could not allow them to provide 256kbps or above unlimited, because they would "have to" make the contention ratios more unfavourable).....
anyway, more to the topic.... cool move, but let's hope they remove the "till August 31st" catch and extend the plan to all over India.
