What if we bring a mtnl sim to other states of India

You cannot latch on to any other network apart from bsnl..

I had heard recently that BSNL started roaming tie up with few operators. Can not recall who though.

(So indirectly may be MTNL may have as well)

is there any recharge to reduce call rates while roaming in Mh circle bcoz I daily travel between kalyan - katjat local calls are charged here at 80p/m & while in Mumbai 1p/s 🙁

Nope, MTNL doesn't do prepaid roaming rate cutters anymore, to the best of my knowledge.

Almost all operators have this different/high calling while roaming in Mumbai or vice versa except UNINOR bcoz even in Mumbai call rate is 1p/s in idea network but data is charged

There used to be roaming pack with 3p/2s. But now that roaming is FREE all over India they removed roaming pack.

They also reduced validity of many plans.

Like 1p/s plan was there for 365 days. Now with same recharge its valid just for 1 or 2 months

TRAI shud intervene here. Because earlier when you would take roaming plan (say on Vodafone or Airtel) - outgoing charges were 1.3p/s

Now they changes it 80p/min which means even if u talk just 10 seconds u pay 80p

Effectively roaming rent reduction OR zero roaming has no effect.
