is there any bank in which we can do transactions in any branch for savings account?
I have account in Public bank and transactions can be done in the branch which has account.

what type of transactions? sbi allows few types but there is charge for it.

most private banks are quite liberal with their branches. i have never faced an issue. bob even accept cheques for ppf account in other branches.

I just want debit card, cheque book
so that if I need new don't have to go to 'home' branch

Cheque Book?. I thought most private banks allow to request cheque books online

what are limitations of zero balance savings account?

I guess most in bank transactions will be chargeable. Online/Mobile banking may be same. I guess less cheque leaves. More charges on Demand Draft etc...

I read maximum balance allowed in 1 lac per annum. Is it true?

I need bank account to receive and withdraw money. payment can be done by NEFT
