I've been using bsnl broadband for many years and I just moved to another city and got a bsnl landline here.
When I went to their office to apply for broadband, they said that it is now mandatory to get their modem(costing 1500) in order to get a broadband connection. This baffles me, as I never heard of this shitty policy before. I've been using my own modem for years. Does anybody knows if this actually is a new policy or are the exchange guys are just trying to sell me their crappy modem...
