@Nishant: Yup can be done as MTNL keeps tabs of every DC as well as how data was downloaded per session.
As far as we know as of now, they track how much you download, its displayed in your login & only you can see apart from the ISP
UPDATE 19-9-2015: Forgot to mention on the question of privacy. If you go to http://mtnlmumbai.in/index.php/directory-search you can be searched for by name/number/address. Heck if someone is desperate you can be searched for by many methods on the net itself. A friend of mine sometime back was quite shocked by this knowledge & said the tel no. is a v pvt matter & should not be divulged to one & all. This line was first started by the mobile companies when there was talk some years ago about making it compulsory for them to supply a directory to ALL its customers which then mutated to having an online directory of the same but then this died down. MTNL/BSNL have had hard copies of directories (in the past) & now online for a long time now. There will be as many opinions as people (maybe even more) on this but we should remember that every facility can be abused but how this can be reduced & offenders punished is important
