Salient points:

1. Service to start from November 1
2. To notify customers via SMS or USSD
3. To send regular notifications for every 100MB except for customers on special combo packs or schemes.
4. Consumers can opt out of receiving these updates.
5. For consumers having special data packs, notification when they reach 50%, 90% and 100% of their data usage.
6. Inform customers of the tariff post the data pack expiration when they consume 90% of their data or 10MB data is left.
7. To notify customers using International roaming to disable data if they don't want to use data services.

This is already being followed by DoCoMo if I am not wrong..
The 50%,80% trick
 
At the end of said article, it says that TRAI has received numerous complaints about bad adat services.
Anyone know how I can complain?
 
To what end? Unless the issue is specifically with your account, there is little point in complaining.
