ACT AONT box installed

Hello buddies,

I recently applied for ACT connection(June 2015), took subscription for 6 months by paying Rs. 7176.
They have installed AONT box on the terrace, I was never informed that they need power supply for this and I was not informed about ~Rs.50 reimbursement, on some forum I saw ~Rs.50 will be reimbursed per month. I've paid for 6 months how will ACT reimburse the amount now?

No, the connection is not yet setup completely, I'll call the Customer Care today regarding this.

I called the customer care regarding this, they told me I'll be reimbursed Rs.300 (Rs.50 X 6 Months) in my 8th Month bill.

Yes. They pay 50Rs per months for drawing power.

They used to give me a discount of Rs. 44.50, not Rs. 50.

ACT offered to my friend a free internet (999 plan) and some money for taking power supply and providing space for their AONT box. It has some legal issues. You are giving your home power supply to their commercial service. Unless you argue with them, they won't give anything.

Beam did this the same to me ..but then we moved into our own house. I heard they're not doing this anymore..

Can EB enforce you to pay the electricity bill based on commercial tariff? Since your home power supply is used for someone's business.

Technically yes. But I doubt they'll go around imposing fines.
