given jio's track record they cannot stick to their plan, like they dumped iptv, a month ago promised plans 1/10 of global standard what they delivered we all know.

Do you guys think ultimately jio would go with lco route for internet too ? They already have fiber present everywhere but struggling with last mile connectivity.

If Jio goes with LCO routes, It's the beginning of the end of the Jio Fiber before it's even launched properly.

Clearly someone who is handling JioFiber Project isn't competent and well informed about good Broadband Infrastructure.

And, since you have made this post.

There is no "Lag Free Gaming".

Lag happens because of two reasons: Hardware Issue or Internet mainly.

Jio can't do shit about it and just boasting about the "Lag Free Gaming"? They need to understand, their Routing is fucked up and lag will be there.

You're getting it wrong.
It's zero lag gaming and it's worth 5k a year.

didn't they said in AGM their STB will also work as a gaming console ? if its worth 1.2 k per year it should be some application or something not just better routing.

But its jio so no one knows anything.

I don't really understand their logic of buying hathway and den. Cable tv customers are usually more budget conscious so how are they planning to sell them these expensive plans is beyond me.

If hathway internet plans are changed to jio plans many hathway users would opt for some other provider, it will be hard to switch to FUP internet when you are used to consume more data.

isn't it confirmed now that they would have to rely on cable tv feeds to provide internet in some areas as iptv is not ready for wide rollout? maybe den and hathway would help there? maybe it was just part of the strategy to eat up all the small players with significant coverage around the country so remove competition? tbh my biggest fear about jio is that they would acquire excitel in coming months as well and shut them down.

hathway and jio plans are completely opposite and large hathway customer base is only tv cable consumer. I just hope jio won't mindlessly buy companies and destroy them.
maintaining both iptv and cable tv would be hard if trai rules are different.

It's shit for me.

I play Rainbow Six Siege and no game is better to test Internet then this where each hit register is done bases on the latency. (You won't notice this on CS:GO since CS:GO has Servers in India).

So there is no lag free or latency free gaming unless it's hosted on local server.

5K a year for this scam? No Thanks.

Khoda Pahad, Nikli Chuhiya.

Overall everything is so shit, I am afraid if Airtel will ever launch Fiber now. 🙁

But there is one good thing though, we here are not noobs so we know what is good and bad.

People outside are noob (mostly) and they will jump the hype train.

If Jio manages to take the customer from Airtel, it will be awesome. (Competition will rise and other ISPs will speed up their Fiber Deployment, specially Airtel).

P.S.: I don't have any hopes from any other ISPs. (Either they don't have budget or very low customer in area)
