Hi:I use BSNLs DataOne Broadband. I use a software to measure the speed of the connection. The maximum i got using dataone is 160 kbps!!! I think they should stop publicising as 256 kbps. That speed was okay to browse for me, but being said 256 kbps, it should at least touch 200 kbps but it had never touched it. Sometimes, it will be even slower going below 100!!! Those who are using it can post their maximum speed that is recorded, so that we could know the truth and if they came to see this forum, may realise it.

hmm... i get abt 240

DOWNLOADAverage between 230Kbps - 256KbpsBurst traffic between 280Kbps - 480KbpsUPLOADAverage between 52Kbps - 64KbpsBurst traffic between 80Kbps - 120 Kbps

I get speeds of 350-490 kbps at night and around 220-260 at daytime.I saw a post in airtel section of this forum saying that someone has got 40 kbps extra at night times lol and they say it as an offer by airtel.im getting 450+daily.btw i use BSNL unlimited 256 kbps plan.

Burst Traffic - Mostly Night Time traffic - Generally ISP tend to atleast boost the speed by 1/2 of the speed provided. So it at min becomes 256+128 - sucker maths. Anyhow...its not generally seen though. Sometimes the ISP lies and sometimes too many people are oline in the night too.

I Usually Got 240-284 kbps.download speed varies from 28-31KB.it is worth of it.u know guys ur total upstream bandwidth devided by 8 is ur download speed.so i'm satisfied wth my connection.recently switched over to home unlimited 900 plan from home 500 plan.
