Vodafone Prepaid International Roaming ??? why it didn't worked ?

My prepaid Vodafone sim had international roaming activated by default since beginning. I used it for 2-3 years without any issues. I was getting sms on my Indian number for free.
 
Ohh that sounds good .. But in my case I am unable to connect to any networks when I go to network selections ..
 
I forgot to mention that I used my number in UK between 2008-2010, and I assume that both India and UK are using same GSM networks. I guess US has some different networks which may not be compatible with Indian sim cards?
 

I think Airtel has tie up with AT&T as a friend was latched to that network as soon as he landed in California in US

Maybe its location dependant. I think best would be to mail them.
 
Don't know anything else. But when I went abroad the first time, everyone suggested me to take an Airtel Prepaid. So just got a new Rs 100 airtel SIM a week before departure are recharged it with Rs 1000 and it worked fine as soon as I landed in China (although the call and sms rates in roaming at that time could give someone a heart attack)
 
Did you select International Roaming Mode option in the SIM menu (SIM Toolkit) of your phone?
Most Vodafone SIMs have this option.
 
I have a Vodafone prepaid service, after talking to customer care, I have recharged 1000 and 673 for roaming. But still I see no service on my mobile. I called customer care to help configure my mobile, unfortunately they do not know how to guide for iPhone. Could you help me set up international roaming on my mobile?

Don't know about iPhone, but in an android phone, you can open the SIM toolkit (Vodafone Services SIM Menu) and then select international mode (in Roaming Option).
 
I was in since last three year, my Bangalore number was working fine in USA, but I went to India trip and there my sim was start showing Sim Registration fail. I Visited Vodafone store they replace my sim, after its was working fine in India,

But after landed back to USA my phone is stop working, I send many emails to them not get any good response, I am facing many issue of that...

If someone help me here that will be great help.
 
Port to Airtel next time. Used my Airtel sim in Bangkok and now in NZ without any problem.
Receiving all the banking related sms, OTPs etc. Irony is latched to Voda Nz network.
Yep I got charged 99Rs the minute i made a local call here. Gladly it was not surprise one as they did send sms about deduction. All in all perfect with Airtel.

Anyone know why outgoing sms to India are not getting charged? 😛
Hope they don't start doing it later. Did hear that roaming billing takes time to update even on prepaid sometimes.
