Last I checked, the whole kit and kaboodle for the FTTH stuff was completely separate, right from equipment in the CO/exchange to the cabinet (whether they're putting in new street cabinets or just hooking up passive splitters in the newly wired societies) to the users home.iChaitanya said:mg is right. The exchanges are inter-linked with fibre anyway. What matters is the type of "last mile" infrastructure, which in this case is pure copper.
It's all provisioned differently too, hence my pointing it out to begin with.
