Hello All,I am facing one strange issue for last 2 days. I am using MTNL 3G sim in roaming and use to recharge it with Rs. 20 (special recharge using Paytm) which gives 250 MB with 1 day validity. For last 2 days I am trying to do special recharge via PAYTM but I am credited with talktime rather then data. I think PayTM is doing normal topup even on selecting special recharge option. I am worried because if this continue, I will be unable to use MTNL 3G in roaming..........Please share if anyone else faced similar issue in last 2 days with PayTM......

I also tried recharging my MTNL delhi sim for Rs 20 special data recharge yesterday, but Paytm did normal topup. Tried three times and everytime they did credited my balance by Rs 17. Can someone point to any other website which allows to do special data recharges on MTNL Delhi sim.

I too have the same problem since saturday. I thought they black listed me for using in roaming!!!!Last Friday I did rs 20 and used up the usual 250 mb with in 2 hours for downloads. Both saturday and sunday twice I did Paytm "special recharge " data top up (usual -has been done for many times in the last 2 weeks now).I assumed 250 mb credit ( *446# does not work in roaming.only *444# works to show your main a/c balance) and started downloading.Main a/c balance got over and went to negative. I thought may be error and did it again (after topping up the main balance too apart from rs 20 data top up). Same debit from main balance and went to negative.I thought due to change of servers from March10 to "mtnl.net " may be they have some problems. Usually I get a sms that 256000 kBps + 25 local + std sms credited to a/c. This time I got a message only sms local+national being credited. No mention of 250 mb. It is possible MTNL has discontinued Rs 20 /250 mb deal?? Oxicash is no use. I have to try "Recharge Guru" to see whether this data recharge works.Right now Airtel speeds are low and Voda is better. so using voda for downloads.kindly check with MTNL aunties if you are in Delhi.Iam considering Rs 449/7 day pack now.:waving:

I tried recharging VIA rechargeguru.com and I got 250 MB data as normally I was getting in Paytm. Well this proves it is PAYTM issue and not with MTNL........

I tried recharging my MTNL no. via Paytm yesterday around 7 PM, the site displayed that their is some issues going on in their MTNL recharge system and requested to wait. I tried again around 10 PM and the same message was displayed. However around 11 PM it allowed me to recharge I thought that the special recharge system has been restored but alas, again my balance was credited by Rs 17 instead of 250 MB data pack. Upon contacting PAYTM care via their support form, they replied in mail 😀ear Customer,*We regret the inconvenience caused to you.*We would like to share with you that the amount of talk time or any other benefit that you may receive for a particular recharge value is controlled entirely by MTNL*.*We recommend that you contact MTNL**Customer Care to confirm the benefits associated with your requested recharge value.Best Regards,Team PaytmDont they know that MTNL offers two different coupons of same value, one for data and one for talktime... :-|

Paytm used to work for bothways .rs 20 if "special recharge" not chosen ,used to go for main balance and if "special recharge" chosen used to give Rs 2o-250 mb data pack. It used to work till last Friday. Anyway I also got to try "Rechargeguru " as confirmed by @Airteljockey

Yes! Paytm seems to be unstable since friday. However as rechargeguru do it manually using this dealer sim, I got my data for Rs 20 SPL recharge yesterday night successfully. So! PayTM is simply talking false as it's their system mistake and not from MTNL's.

Recharge guru is working perfectly. I think I will stick to recharge guru for MTNL data recharges. No wallet though. so each time credit/debit/netbanking transaction.

RechargeGURU charges only Rs. 19 for the same pack.Updates-- Issue at Paytm is now resolved. I recharged yesterday and i got data

@airteljockeyGlad to know "Paytm " issue is resolved.Recharge guru charges only Rs 19 for Rs 20 pack. Also I was not aware I can do two Rs 20 (250 mb each) (up to 3) recharges at the same time.Infact I paid Rs 38 (instead of Rs 40) & got 500 mb credit message from MTNL. Is it 24 hours validity or till 11.59pm on the same day?But datapack activation takes atleast 30 mins to say 1 hour. Also paying each time thro credit/debit/netbanking is a pain the bum.Paytm is quite automated and is instant. Walet is the way to go. I will try one more time at paytm today.:tonguesmilie:

The pack works for 24-48 hours. Sometime more then 48 hours too.... Their a way by doing Rs. 50 recharge then Rs. 20 (1 or more times) and enjoy data for 30 days....

Seems like this issue is back. How do I get a data pack on my 3G MTNL prepaid sim?I used paytm.com to do a topup of 20Rs. However, my talktime increased by 17Rs and no data was added. I checked that by using *444# . I think I had tried recharge option on paytm.com as well but same result. Is it just me but when I click on recharge, both topup and recharge options are activated on Paytm's site? Seems like a bug in their HTML. This was happening in the afternoon today. Is there any other site other than paytm.com to get data pack on 3G MTNL Delhi prepaid sim?Thank you.
