TrackID for Google Android

Just checked it. Very nice!
 
I used to use Shazam on my Wave, it was good. Haven't tried any such software on my GNex. Will try TrackID, hopefully I find it better than Shazam.
 
it managed to recognize a bunch of random songs engish and hindi. detected everything. it is sort of annoying that it pauses for a while after the detection is done. but has worked great.
 
I guess TrackID has Sony BMG backing... Sony BMG releases many Indian music CDs Although more or less all these music recognition softwares are backed by Gracenote. That's the company behind it all.

yeap. even then it is impressive considering it even recognizes ancient songs.Gracenote is owned by Sony. I guess this is why this app has such an excellent detection rate!
 
True!It also has charts by country, although Indian charts are kinda down right now...It'll be even better if it gets a built in lyric software, to deliver lyrics😀😉
 
I had Soundhound pre installed on my phone. Tried it for a week. It recognised 50% songs only, although it did have a lyric option.Disabled it soon enough, and came back to TracKID😉
 
i have used all the three apps extensively and i can safely say this app is the best of the lot for us folks. would have been nice if they collaborate with flipkart for buy option.
 
what i mean to say is that Sony already is probably selling their songs through flipkart. so they can probably link to flipkart if the user is based in india.
 
Yes trackid is Sony thing. I was impressed when I bought my live with walkman.it was recognizing all songs played on radio (hindi)
