To all those who are thinking of going for Tata Docomo wired broadband, hopefully I can address some of your concerns.
I was so far using Tata Indicom Broadband with a monthly plan of Rs 1800 for 1 Mbps unltd. One day while browsing I came across the plans offered by Tata Docomo which sounded too good to be true.I immediately called the Tata Docomo customer care and opted for a new connection. After a bit of follow up, my connection was installed within a week. Here's my experience so far:
I opted for the 8Mbps (160 GB FUP) plan for Rs 1500 p.m. At the time of installation, the engineer admitted that even though the plan says 8 Mbps, users generally get between 5-7Mbps. A quick speed test proved this statment to be true.I appreciate this kind of honesty upfront rather than the smooth talking executives who cheat customers on the pretext of false promises.
Its been 2 weeks since I had the connection and the overall experience has been pretty good. There have been almost no downtimes and the speeds stay withing the promised range, in fact of late I have sometimes observed the speed hover around the 7.5 Mbps mark.Installation charges are about Rs 1200 and they give a wi-fi router free of cost.
My suggestion to anyone who is looking to switch- go for it!

Great. I recently

8mbps plan giving 7mbps in speed test i say that very good
It has to be consistent you need to factor in downtimes and outages how quick they fix a problem do you get same speed all through out the day after months of use how many problems you have faced and what average speed you were getting.

@hisxlnc try a pingtest and a speedtest to an international server as well...when I had the connection, international connectivity was very poor, but, it's possible that they have improved now

Usually the nightmare starts once it goes down as it was in my case. Their customer care is horrible and technical service is a waste. I was using Tata Docomo for last 4-5 months as long as it was working it was fine but once the issue started there is no way to resolve it. Even after 3 weeks my issue is not resolved now i have decided to terminate the connection and move to Airtel.

I got it installed 1 week back. Initially, i was getting 3.4Mbps. Later after repeated calls, now its touching 8.5 Mbps in speed test. No issues as yet. But only worry is whether i can book an irctc tatkal ticket. did anyone try?

Hi hisxlnc,
Please let me know how you applied for the connection. I've tried calling them, sent email & left my contact details on their website. No response for 2 weeks now.

After reading all the reviews it seems Reliance and Tata Docomo are having the same issue , both gives excellent speed till it works but if there is a breakdown there is no way to get it fixed and you are in great trouble............you have no other option but to terminate the connection.........

They don't have any technical service. I am getting upload speed of 0.03 Mbps . When I call their customer support they just provide me with a Ticket number and thats it.After that nothing happens.I have decided to terminate my connection. My suggestion is don't go for tata Docomo
