I'm yet to receive the latest bill. That sucks. I got a hike of Rs. 150 more than an year ago.

BSNL has done it twice in the last 12 months. I guess Airtel saw the opportunity.

Well, they know who is worth what.
By the way, with BSNL is exactly one year. So, looks like an annual revision (increase) henceforth..

Internet is more like petrol now, don't think they are in anyway coming down on this. 😛

@Topic- I've been getting 512kbps for the past 4 days. Yet to see the hiked prices in the next invoice!

Airtel to hike fixed line broadband rates from April by up to 40 per cent

The operator has informed its customers that the increase in broadband rates would be effective from next billing cycle in April.

Due to an increase in input cost, the rent will be revised from Rs 250 to Rs 349 with effect from April 17, 2014, the company said in a communication to a customer.

The company in the plan also informed customers about increasing minimum speed of broadband to 512 kilobit per second from 256 kbps.

When contacted, an Airtel spokesperson said, "Tariff rationalisation is a continuous process and a function of market dynamics. This price revision of our broadband plans is in line with the increasing input costs that have a direct impact on the final prices."

I contacted Airtel CC today and he said that I am currently on my old plan of Rs.1499 30GB, 4mbps, 256kbps post FUP. They haven't changed it........yet.

u never know...what happen next...but its good to see that airtel still caring for the old consumers....
