Slower operation of Tata Sky+ HD compared to standard Tata Sky STB

Does anyone notice this? If we want to start any channel, let's say HBO then we have standard procedure in all stb.Guide > Movies > HBO. But surprisingly this operation works instantly in standard TS box. Program list of specific genre like Movies, Sports etc opens up in a flash. I confirmed this when I recently visited my friend's place who have installed TS standard box. However, in my Tata Sky+ HD stb, the entire operation is not lightening fast when we compare it to standard TS set top box. To make sure, I also went to Samsung's company showroom near my society who is dealer of TS & provides the demo of Tata Sky+ HD, experience was the same. Well yes, we cannot call it sluggish or dawdling and it is not bad at all but it is not as instantaneous as it is in standard TS box. May be it's because of rich & extra multitasking graphical user interface in HD boxes but GUI lag can always be solved by increasing RAM & cache memory. ---------I also observed one other issue, which is that every time in the morning when I am starting my TS+ HD box for the first time in the day, it requires 3-4 times 'turn on' prompts from my remote. Even after starting when that 100 no. channel comes, if I wish to navigate to another channel by pressing the numbers then entire operation is very slow for the first 5-10 minutes. Even increasing or decreasing volume is slow for first 5-10 minutes. After 2-3 prompts I can get the volume up or down by 1 bar. For rest of the day my TS+ HD works normally like it should. I tried to solve the problem by doing the master reset but it did not work. Then I filed a complaint regarding this issue. TS engineer visited my place in the morning & acknowledged the same issue & I got a replacement stb & some credit rupees but same problem persists in this replaced box also. Does anyone else facing similar issue or does anyone know any solution for the given problem then please help me out. Thanks.

Hi... Sorry to bump the old thread, I am currently facing the same issue, can you let me know if your problem solved. Anyone else facing the issue and got it rectified

It helps if you shut down the main power to the STB for few seconds then restart it (like a cold reboot) say one a week to keep things "fresh".

Or try a "master reset" it may be there somewhere in the User/Service menus. (It won't delete any of your recorded programs).
