The hardware is pure, unadulterated garbage. The build quality is so bad, I think it gave me cancer. Samsung gave us last year's display tech and saved their best tablet screen for Apple.

Seems it is just waste of money!

What most ppl fail to comprehend is that its not Samsung's tech that Apple uses... Its their own tech that Apple uses & Samsung is just another manufacturing partner to them... In this situation Samsung is no different than say Foxconn... They dont provide the tech just the manufacturing facility... As such they cant really use Apple's priority display tech(retina display) into the displays they use in their devices... But on the other hand Samsung is the world leader in display tech & have the highest sales in TVs so making a full HD display should not have been a biggie... Why Samsung chose not to do it is anybodies guess... Hey even Asus has a full HD display(1920x1200) on their tablet & they put a WXGA display(1280x800) on the 7in Nexus which coincidentally this is the same resolution on this 10in Note... This is one of the reasons I have felt ever since the 1st transformer came out I have felt if u want to buy a Android tablet then an Asus one is the one you should get...
BTW I feel like laughing when I read all these android fans on forums & review sites trying to defend this tablet... I mean atleast admit this is a bad tablet... Noone is saying all android tablets are bad(least of all me)... But u got to call a spade a spade... Following are some of the comment that amused me:-

Well ofcourse it does not look bad... The iPad 2 is only 1024x728 & even its display looks just fine to me... But the point is if u are gonna price it at the $500 lvl & the others are providing over full HD resolution at that price then Im sorry u have to too

Its creaking bad quality plastics is fine as it does not affect the performance
Seriously cant even comment on this one...Even the Nexus which cost $300 less than this has better build quality let alone its competitors in the $500 range...

Lots more of these but I dont think I can keep going on 😛...
 
I am hearing launched at 40k (Thats $700+). Seriously?
 

Stylus?? Who uses tht nowadays? I am not sure if it serves any purpose in real day to day work ..Steve jobs said "if you see a stylus, they blew it" .. Tht sounds so true with this Galaxy note ..
 
^ Well we need to compare with the 3G version of the New IPad. But, yes - it is crazy to expect people to choose it over Apple at that price point.

Well, we have to see it more as a "Pen" & "Note" than a stylus and a tablet. Of course, I read that the quality is horrible. Sort of defeats the purpose though 😛
 
40k? Samsung is going retarded. the iPad which sells for 500$ as well is easily available for 28k (The Apple Sale - Fab Deals on - The New iPad, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Apple iMac! at eBay India) and this for 40k? The only price point they can sell this is at 20-25k which they won't do and so this will be a massive fail.

Hmm Ipad 3 3g 16GB MRP is Rs38900(on sale for Rs36200 on ebay)... But I have a feeling this will still sell well in India... Why??? Coz samsung is the Apple of Android products... They are marketing their products well & most blind haters of Apple runs straight to Samsung for their mobile needs... They dont really care if better options are available or not they will keep buying samsung products... Lolz most of the "iSheep" comments Android fans made about Apple fans is now true for most of Samsung buyers...

Noone can dispute the usefulness of the stylus for the ppl into drawing stuff with their tablet but if u see Samsung has made the Stylus the main feature of the Note rather than an added bonus... Even 90% of the ads are shown using the stylus to browse photos,open apps even surf the web... I seriously doubt the normal customer really wants to surf the net with the stylus... The Galaxy note was a success but not becoz it had a stylus but rather coz it had a big beautiful 5.3in screen & was priced very sensibly... This I think is the diff between Apple & Samsung... Apple knows exactly why their customers buy their products... Samsung on the other hand seems to still think that its customers bought the Note phone coz it has a stylus...
