NIce .......... Expecting some more personal review 😉

preview of the review. i like the dock more than the phone. it is nothing in front of one x. as simple as that. i just got it for the software. 🙂 loving the dock though. i really hated nexus s for not having pogo pin dock support.

Yes, Even I loved Nexus Dock a lot. Now feeling desperate to look for such a Dock for my Android too.

What Major differences you saw compared to One X, apart from build quality and camera?

messed up zagg installation. probably ended up putting dirt particle behind the skin. tried so bloody hard to get it right this time around. it just does not work with me 😀 this is not going to do good things to the display of the phone.at least the phone does not seem to have any defects. and the dock is wonderful. there is enough lag in the user interface. maybe i got too used to the smoothness of one x in the one month i kept it. i hope jelly bean would fix this shit. loving the stock android ui!

Time to get Project Butter. Most reviews I read online claim Google has indeed done some good work there.

ok. good thing is that the dust particle seems to be on the skin and not under it. at least i think so. it seems to be visible with the display off and watching the skin at an angle against sharp light. 😛

i guess i would keep the zagg on for a couple of months and then decided whether to replace it. probably at the end of the year when we would have more information about the next generation nexus.

as for jelly bean, there are leaked builds available on the web. but from what i remember, they are the beta builds google released to developers. i can wait for a couple of weeks to get the official delivery.

need to experience the issues with ICS to enjoy the enhancements of JB. 🙂

btw. this is the cheapo amzer case i bought for the phone. cost was around 200 rupees.

got this cheapo one because it is easy to remove and put on. and i only need it for the road. inside the house, phone stays on the dock.

got this mail from google just now.

they are highlighting ICS as a feature 😀 too late for that. from what i hear, Galaxy nexus would feature jelly bean when it goes on sale again in the US market later this month. that would be awesome.

ok. a major issue 😀 this phone has literally no coverage for my airtel sim here in the basement. of course, mobile coverage in the basement has always been an issue. i faced similar problems with nexus s in the past. but nexus one and one x did a pretty good job and signal never appeared as dead. and calls were rarely disconnected. Nokia 101? it worked so well here in the basement like i was out on the road! looks like htc does a much better job with antenna placement on their phones compared to samsung. i am going to make a lot of people angry because they would not be able to connect me on the phone. 😀

Nice Phone! Looks solid. You can continue primary number on Nokia 101, and use secondary number for this. I am doing same for almost a year. Only bad part is to carry 2 phones.

well. this is my primary number. my backup number is tata indicom. 😀 frankly speaking, never had any issues with tata indicom. network has been solid, never had a dropped call.

here are two screenshots of airtel coverage on the ground floor of the house.

looks like i would have to run upstairs every time i get a call. 😕

You get used to it very soon. I've using C3-01 and iPhone 4 since over a year and I don't think that I can give up either of them now.

Irony. A smartphone cannot be used as a primary number for calls.

lol. similar complaints were raised for years by AT&T subscribers in the USA because of overloaded network throughout the country 😀 also, recent research reports said that calling is like on the 8th or 9th spot for the most popular activity done on a smartphone. anyone who needs to make tons of calls throughout a day would either be carrying a featurephone or a blackberry.

And that's a major complaint I have against most modern phones - the connectivity part - especially cellular network and WiFi are pushed to the background. This is one of THE reasons that I haven't upgraded to any model in years.
