BSNL has been giving FTTH services for quite sometime in certain areas. And they are expanding. They came to our society to deploy fiber in each house for FTTH.
Hi may I know your personal review of BSNL FTTH? I may get a connection of BSNL FTTH if their service is reliable. I have heard it takes many days to get this service working once there is a downtime. BSNL is giving connection via an LCO in my area and this LCO guy is a noob in broadband knowledge because I know him personally, he is my neighbor.

Experience may vary according to your area, i had faced some downtime initially for 2 months post installation due to some construction work. But they would always repair the cables within 1-2 hours after the fiber cut. But since then it's almost a year now and i never faced any downtime. For me they are very reliable no packet loss, pings are great, no speed loss. But as i said the experience may vary for others. You will not know unless you get it installed or try it through someone who already has it installed in your area.

I am facing very weird issue with BSNL FTTH, steam friends page won't load, battle.net profile won't load, unable to log in to Destiny 2, now I don't know how am I supposed to explain this to them.

@mayank yadav can you check if you have the same issues?

The friends page on steam and battle.net website is loading for me, no issues. try opening it after enabling a VPN (preferabally Tunnel Bear) that way we can identify if it's a BSNL blocking issue or if it's something specific to you on your system.

On battle.net launcher does everything load? Like the videos and ads on the game's page? Does your profile load when you click on your name and click on "my profile" in the launcher?

It's working with VPN so it's a BSNL issue.

Yes, the battlenet launcher and steam launcher are working fine for me. try restarting your router to see if a change in your IP fixes the issue for you.

@socrates Today I called up the customer care to lodge a complain for bad upload speed. The guy denied to lodge any complain saying that 30Mbps should be good enough for normal browsing. He said if it is less than 20Mbps he will lodge a complain.

@spsneo I was told the same thing in my case. My downloads generally do not cross 50Mbps on the 1277 plan but whenever I try to lodge a complaint, they're like 'It's more than enough'. Then why do I even pay for 100 mbps🙄

Truly shocking. A friend of mine using a Jio sim complained of low speeds & he was told that if he get more than 2Mbps its ok for normal work (whatever that means). If I remember correctly, for Broadband according to TRAI we should get atleast 80% of the promised speeds. But in this case they are not charging us any fees so I am not sure if this holds.
