Problem Accessing Websites For The First Time

I moved from Sify to Dataone a couple of months ago and have been very happy with the move. Just one problem that I've not been able to resolve yet.When accessing websites for the first time (in a single browsing session), I often get an error message saying the server name could not be resolved. It usually works after trying a couple of times, but it's irritating to keep doing that every now and then. This happens in all browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera), so I'm pretty sure it's not a browser issue. Some research on the web points to a possible DNS issue, but I don't have a resolution yet. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

try using these dns servers:4.2.2.14.2.2.2or:208.67.222.222208.67.220.220

Got to add my thanks here too. The damn dns problem has been on since.. oct 11. In the past 2 weeks it had gotten worse. I thought it was because of shifting from business1200 to home900. I put in 4.2.2.1 and it works like a charm. I was planning to write to bsnl and complain about this problem. Now only if they can give us 512k under 1k Rs.
