Need to know tv channels inception in India since 1990

I searched the I&B ministry site but their data starts from dec 2000

Is there anyway to know the date of pre 2000 tv channels.

I remember fox news was started in India but after some weeks\months they removed it.

Or i will have to file an RTI?

Yeah that was before registration of channels was made compulsory by Ministry of I & B.
