My experience with fake deodorants...

I used to buy lomani a lot some months before until its smell just became bland, like it was just a blend of misc chemicals (i accept the real thing is also just that 😛) without any specific smell of any sort... i thought maybe i've just gotten used to it thats all..without giving it further thought, i moved over to UCB, loved it, just went in and bought another and that same bland smell from before returned...i had the older bottle with me and comparing them revealed many differences... pictures below: left=fresh right=bland



even the width of the two bottles had some difference...Whats more i got the fake one at a higher price than the other..:shut-mouth:

Even i see tons of fake deo's of almost every brand (adidas,puma, UCB ) on foot paths for 159~200 bucks and they claim they smell almost the same as original

i tend to buy my deos from a chemist shop owned by an uncle. i have never had a problem with the quality. he states that he only keeps products that are imported from the middle east market. most of the stuff i purchase have urdu language on the box. 😕

mrp of the better smelling one (since i dunno if even that is genuine 😛)=175, the other one=195 😀

i would be wary of those.. just compare them with non urdu ones and check whats up..

the reasons i believe the urdu one is the fake one is that it makes me cough (just like the prev such lomani fake) and this one had the same (non)smell...

haha. well. this store is pretty freaking old and the uncle is liked by everyone in the locality. i am going to take his word over a departmental store guy who is more likely to sell me fakes. 🙂

yeah well in the end you've to decide for urself... however it can be that even he is oblivious to whats fake n whats not.. though highly unlikely.. still plausible as the fakes are a very widespread problem i believe.
in fact what i tried recommending was to check if the non urdu ones are better in your case or not, not doubting the integrity of the neighborhood store.
