@Ankit22

it does not work and the idea was anyways not too bright

So if you are smart enough, you are most welcome to make it work (which according to us won't work) and prove us all and MTNL "Stupid"......... :cool2:

Well its atleast worth a try , hook the line in pc and fire up wireshark to get some info , its a IP network after all 🙂 . There a very very high chance you wont get internet on it but try karne main kya jata hai 😛 .
Connect the tv wire in place of your internet wire in your computer and check if it works
try karne mein kya ja raha hai....whoever owns this plz check nd tell us all cuz we all want to here it because the possibilities with this service are ---

1) 2000+ live channels from all countries including ur favorities like star, zee nd allll
2) No more paying for tv channels all 2000 for free.
3) All movies free for lifetime after one month of release
4) U can own this set top box which is of 3000, for 1500

nd loads more........TV viewing will no more be paid
Thats a overkill , mtnl doesnt provide 2000 channels anyway and nor will they have channels all over the world broadcasting in their network .

I think he is talking about the free channels available over the net.

pehle toh batao ki isme 'try' karne waala kya hai...the pc as well as the iptv stb uses a lan wire each coming from the modem ... both wires are identical... and all the data that the iptv uses is also listened to by the pc... wireshark picks up the server address that it is connecting to.. but vlc is unable to play the stream.wires ko gooma phira ke maine dekh liya hai... aatma ko shaanti do.. koi aur hack dhoondoh.. iss baar dhimaag use karke🙂

UPDATE:..
dont go for iptv in delhi if you want 2mbps...
your speeds will be reduced to 256kbps if you take iptv in delhi...
(this info will be updated on mtnl's delhi site shortly)

the mumbai folks who are already getting 2mbps with iptv(even more in most cases) is dude to some issues which mtnl is facing there... but their speeds too will be limited to 256kbps in the future

i went to kidwai bhawan today.. so that is the source of the info...and the reason is that they don't want to provide 5mbps bandwidth.... for iptv+broadband

Reducing to 256 will that be enough for IPTV+Broadband? 😱If it happens to be true their IPTV will have no takers, maybe some uninformed BABU gave you such unjustifiable information.....

arrey your line sync will still remain 3mbps... but out of that you will be only able to use 256kbps for internet
