MTNL Broadband: how to connect my lappi and desktop both to access internet using ethernet cable

hi i am an new user to this forum...i read the bridge mode settings post and connected up using the bridge mode and am happy getting gud speeds...i just hav a prob that is i wana connect my laptop and as well as desktop both to access internet at same tym..but i cant conncet up..earlier whn i was using ppoe connection i just plugged the cable in the router(TKD 318 MI) and connected up and i cud access internet but now whn i am using bridge mode i cant...pls help me out how to connect up my lappi am running xp in desktop and vista in laptop...
