Application crashes, which means there can be possibility of running code. May be they are waiting for someone to figure out how code can be run and then patch it!I am sure they will atleast fix it in next version.

microsoft has a habit of denying these things. then they accept the problem exist and then they patch it. they did same with the recently discovered IE flaw. that was fixed with a out of cycle patch.

they cant scare everyone by openly admitting to flaws in their products.no one will buy them then..

there are over 2 lakh viruses/trojans, did they scare anyone?! ppl are still buying MS OS!

its easy use to use and readily available.that's why its popular.

if ms enforces the anti-piracy for regular customers, a lot of customers would have no option but to go for alternative OS. mac os x is much cheaper compared to windows vista. linux is practically free.

MS has been ignoring consumer piracy largely in markets like india and china.they know that people are not really able to afford their products. so they target assembled computer makers randomly. the fact remains, if the PC market was as tight in india as it is in the USA, assembled computers would cost at least 4-12K more compared to current prices just because of the price of the OS.that is the primary reason why assembled market is totally nonexistent in USA. while it is huge here in india. even branded PCs come without OS here in india. MS managed to block such sales in China.
