ISP
Tata Docomo, Siti Broadband
In2Cable is now One broadband. They don't have any plans listed on the website.
They are asking 3000 for installation and 3300 per month for 50 mbps unlimited, Installation will in include a media converter that costs 2000. Now I spoke to a different ISP and their guy said that media converters are bad and that my connection will be down if electricity is cut of a customer in the route of my connection. Example: One broadband hub ->1st customer->2nd customer->n customer->me. So if anyone loses electricity then my connection will be down. Does anyone have any experience with this ISP or media converters?

what media converter is required for internet?

may be its network switch

this is something i used to face on sify. act too i believe? they powered their devices at customer's premises and if the power was shut down, internet service on the following network stopped working.

i used to be so pissed with sify when i had it in early 2000s that i used to turn it off when i was not using the internet.

excitel brings their own power cable along with network cable to power their switches on the poles. i guess isps have realized that relying on customer is not a good idea.

avoid local isp whose gateway is located too far

I think for far distances POE won't work so ISP need to install power source at customer premises

@sahibunlimited I have got the same chart and plans but much higher pricing, for example I am paying Rs 1500 for 5 Mbps unlimited and 10 Mbps is 2000. My local cable guy is looting me, will throw out the connection next month. It is unfortunate that LCO greed is costing me a good, stable fiber connection.

I got one broadband too my LCO is providing me 30 mpbs unlimited for rs 1770 and 20 for rs 1500 and 50 for 2400. speeds are constant, but pings might be low but they are not stable and would cause you rubberbanding on many games so i dont recommend it for gaming ,myb my local lco has problem i had contacted them many times but they didnt fix the problem.@RS4 tell ur LCO to give plans from this website Features . I told my LCO and he gaved me.
I don't know about media convertor though need to check my terrace for one , cuz its not my home.

You got both in2cable and youbroadband? 62 ping to Singapore looks amazing! What's the problem with in2cable/one broadband? You broadband has not called me back yet, I don't think it is available in my area as my area is not in the list on the website. Does in2cable have packet loss or ping spikes? Also what was the installation cost for in2cable?

Will have to talk to him why he is trying to charge me 600 extra.

You are from Nagpur right? Then can you give me You broadband's local number?

When you play a mp game if your ping is 130 after few seconds it spikes to 220 for 1 sec and goes back to 130 bcs of this spikes rubber banding happens someday the ping is fine some day it's not. 70204 50384 his number I got internet connection pretty fast in 2 days.Yes I got both for now.

@internetuser21 the number you have provided is for in2cable, I was asking if I can get a number of some You broadband guy to know if the connection is available in my area as You broadband CC has not called me back.

The number of the person that you have provided has given me those in2cable plan sheets where he is asking Rs.900 more per month for 50mbps from me compared to you. Let me know the installation cost so that he doesn't rip me off.

I play online on PS4 and few games on PC. Forza Horizon 3, FM7, Gears of war 4, F1 2016. I get type 2 NAT type on PS4. Pings I have already posted somewhere here or BSNL thread. BTW spoke to GTPL guy they are still not ready for 100mbps plan and they dont know the price. Or he was lying to me let me know if you know more.

GTPL is not yet ready but he says soon, same with siti broadband 50mbps plan, he says soon but siti has terrible pings. What I was asking, do you get ping spikes, rubber banding or disconnections on in2cable in multiplayer games?
