ISP suggestions needed for Mumbai

Hi, I am currently using Tikona and very unhappy with the service. I have large drops in speed during the day and need to switch ISPs.
I am based in Worli, more specifically near Hard Rock Cafe, and would like suggestions for an ISP. My usage is quite heavy, approx 200GB/month. Any Hayai users have feedback? I could only find flaming posts dated all the back in '11 and would like feedback from people who have actually used it.

I'm sure you can find FiveNet, You Broadband, DVois SSV, Reliance, Airtel and many other ISPs in Worli, given you stay in the in city and not in the outskirts. MTNL should also be able to provide you a VDSL (or ADSL, your wish) connection. An advice: Ask your friends or relatives living in your neighbourhood and gather up their reviews.
However, I cannot comment on the Hayai situation. They claim they are a legitimate ISP and have good services but haven't really seen people use and talk about it in public. Even I wanted to ditch MTNL and move on to Hayai about a year ago, but mom denied it as she thought high-speed internet will only worsen my academics. Thinking about moving on to either Hayai or FiveNet after I finish my board exams.
Almost forgot. Check whether your area is covered by Reliance 4G network. If yes, I suggest you hold onto Tikona until it is released. They will be launching their 4G services in Mumbai in a couple of months and have really good plans. Trust me, it will be worth the wait.

I got Tikona a year or so back, had inquired about fivenet, reliance, airtel etc. before doing so and didn't get any reciprocation from their end, which is why I wasn't too keen on getting them now. Have had a lot of trouble with MTNL and getting disconnected frequently so not keen on that either. Will probably check if fivenet provides service in my area tomorrow, since I read a lot of good stuff about them today.
No specific budget, if the plan seems decent enough to me I will get it.

A good mtnl line trumps all 😀If fivenet isn't available, you should prolly get a new mtnl line, should take care of the disconnection issue.

As x720 said, a good MTNL line trumps all. Luckily my MTNL line has been top notch and I rarely have any disconnections. Their plans maybe a bit pricey compared to others but their customer service is unmatched (atleast in my area).

Something to think about, I guess. My past experiences tell me not venture near MTNL. Is MTNL FTTH any good?
Any views on how Hathway is? It is well established in my complex and hence can be installed quite easily.

Have a look at the hathway docsis 3.0 plans. If the price vs fup is suitable for you, reviews have been pretty good. For mtnl ftth, availability is an issue.
