Is the media biased against the BJP ? I have seen many people raising this issue. I also heard a guy raise this question in the "Friends Of BJP" meet at Bangalore on youtube, to which Arun Jaitely gave a kind of diplomatic answer. Please express your opinion.

First define WHO or WHICH media you are referring to.I recall a similar story about the republican party & media in the US.I think its not a question of bias, but more to do with sales.Take your avg, population, any population, and you have a bell curve. The majority of which are moderates. So if the media is catering to the max possible then they are not biased they just want to sell as much as they can :)

I feel yes. Major media house like NDTV & IBN are always presenting bad face of BJP on their channels. On many occasions they drag BJP into issues and 'poor' BJP spokeperson has to silently clarify.

No entity wants to be labeled as "communal" or supporters of "communal parties".I think the BJP should play reverse psychology and label itself as a communal party. They should write irritating lines on the party websites. Like... BJPProud communalistsor Lets get communal!!!orGlorifying communalism since 1980

If people, opposition and the media attack the party for being hindutva then what does it change when the party starts self proclaiming itself as a "communal" party? I don't think it will change anything but maybe kill the retarded secular/communal talk the parties talk.

1. BJP must call itself as a 'hindutva' party as it is a positive way; 'communal' carries a negative connotation.2. There are many pro-hindu activities they can do when in power - release temple administration from govt. control, correct patent mistakes from school text books etc.3. BJP must keep out of the Ram temples issue; it must act s a facilitator and allow the tow warring sections to sort it out by themselves. 4. BJP must cultivate the media for a fair and friendly presentation either by getting involved in PR or by investing in its own media empire. Some TV channels CBN. NDTV are so patently anti-BJP and their attitude stands out like a sore thumb.Recently in a discussion with Digvijay Singh and Suchindra Kulkarni, Pranoy was supplying answers for Digvijay, was not allowing to Kulkarni to finish his sentences. When Kulkarni asked a direct question whether DS approves of NSA against Varun, Roy intervened and closed the discussion before DS could open his mouth.

To the Poll:
yesterday on asianet news(a malayali channel) , BJP Kerala Leader - O.Rajagopal said there is a media "syndicate" in New Delhi funded by various islamic fundamentalists groups and countries - who can give lot of money for even small news against BJP.Already Communist Party(s) in India are saying they are also targetted by funded(USA) media syndicate ,atleast in Kerala.

This may be true.

Heh, where is the proof for such 'syndicate' ?

they will be silenced if BJP wins the general elections

i'm just hoping for that

Did they do it last time they were in power ?

You do realise you are playing with dynamite here, literally. If the press is giving them a bad time now, imagine what it would be like if they had an agenda to 'sanitise' the press. The problem is that your favourite issues are not been given enough airtime, it was the same in the US, with abortion & evolution.

Could it mean these issues just are not that popular enough ? We all would love better internet experience in this country isn't it ? Hey, could it be they are biased against this desire of ours :p

My home minister comes across as a right buffoon at the best of times and he is a medical doctor by training !!!

Maybe the BJP needs to give their cadres some 'soft skills' training on how to deal with the media :)
